About Us

Welcome to Nomad Jiu Jitsu, Worksop’s home for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, martial arts, and self-defence training. We’re a local, independent academy passionate about bringing the benefits of BJJ to people of all ages and fitness levels right here in Worksop.
Our Story
Nomad Jiu Jitsu is the evolution of several successful martial arts academies across Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire, including Infinity Martial Arts, 53 Degrees, and Clinch & Control. Led by 2nd degree Black Belt James Boyle, our team has years of experience developing martial artists across a range of disciplines, including MMA, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

In recent years, our focus has been on developing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Worksop. Our students have gone on to win multiple medals in competition, while many others train simply to improve fitness, learn self-defence, and enjoy the community we’ve built.
